2.Can Suddath move my car?

Yes. Moving vehicles is quite common, and we do it frequently. We can even make arrangements for moving your boat.

3.Do you offer any discard and donation programs?

Suddath works nationally with Move For Hunger, and teams up with our customers to gather their unwanted nonperishable food items during the moving process, and Move For Hunger steps in to help us make sure it goes to people in need in our local Jersey community. 

So far, Suddath has collected nearly 80,000 lbs. of food for people in need, and we are just getting started. 

4.Do you offer a declutter program to temporarily store items?

We do offer declutter program that will help you to temporarily store your items with us, using our storage containers, at a very reasonable price. You can discuss this option with your move coordinator in-detail during a home survey, but it can be a great solution to decluttering your home to make your house look more spacious, which adds extra value to your home when in the process of selling it. Then, when you’re ready, we can deliver your goods back to you.  

5.What advice or moving tips can you provide in selecting a mover?

When you begin your search for a mover, check with the Better Business Bureau for the rating of your local moving company. Then, make sure that they have a valid DOT (Department of Transportation) number. See if they have an option for a binding estimate. Check online reviews if you can, and gather references and reviews from your community before making your decision. 

6.What do you do to ensure quality and customer satisfaction?

Quality begins during the hiring process. Suddath is a career destination in our industry, so our moving company focuses on hiring only the best people to work with our customers. We are thoughtful in our hiring, and we want to bring people on who share our spirit of pride in doing a great job.  

We invest in training every one of our drivers at our own training program, Suddath University, at our headquarters in Jacksonville, FL. It doesn’t matter if that person is a contractor or an employee, a short or long-distance driver, they will be sent to Suddath University for a week to be fully trained. Our curriculum covers not only safety and procedures, but soft skills in dealing with customers and stakeholders during what is usually a stressful time. 

Suddath also does thorough drug screens and background checks on everyone that we bring on board, alongside the time and training we invest into our people.

7.Can my possessions be temporarily stored with Suddath?

Yes. Our warehouse is located in Wayne, NJ and has a square footage of 45,000. Suddath offers a lot of flexibility that allows you to fit storage both into your budget, while working within any logistical requirements you may have. 

Your items are stored in a fully-enclosed warehouse, padded and wrapped. In the case of household storage, you have an option of long or short-term storage, however, it is important to keep in mind that with an interstate move, your storage time caps at 180 days. 

8.What do you do to ensure my items and property are safe and secure during the moving process?

A detailed inventory will be taken of your items. Our teams will then make sure that any goods we take possession of are marked according to that inventory. 

In a household move, your driver or packer will go through and check items like a sofa or chairs for any pre-existing marks, stains and scratches, then make a note of it within the inventory. Then, the crew will pad furniture and label boxes according to where they’re going. Loading the truck strategically is a big part of keeping your items safe, and our New Jersey movers are trained in how to best do that.

9.If I'm looking for office relocation, what services do you offer?

Suddath is a one-stop-shop for all your office relocation needs. Suddath’s office relocation team is a one-call service. Working with Suddath for your office or commercial move will replace multiple vendors that are typically needed in that process. We can decommission your previous office space, plan out your new space, and outfit it with new office furniture. We partner with you to understand the important aspects of what you do, which allows us to troubleshoot or foresee any potential issues before they happen. 

Suddath is IOMI® certified from the International Office Moving Institute, and we fully background-check our employees.  In an office relocation project, you will be assigned a single point of contact who acts as your dedicated move coordinator. That person will have the experience to anticipate and avoid issues and delays. 
Should any warehousing requests come up, our New Jersey location in Wayne has a secure 45,000-square-foot facility with a state-of-the-art warehouse management system. The system keeps track in real time any item that comes into or leaves our warehouse.

10.What are my different options for an estimate? How can you simplify the process for me?

We provide two options – an in-home survey, and a virtual walkthrough, which can be done from your smart phone or tablet. 

For an in-home survey, a move coordinator will come to your residence and fully view and assess the property. This includes any potential access issues for the trucks. Both surveys give you the opportunity to ask questions and talk through the logistics of the move. Your move coordinator will then be with you throughout the process. 

A virtual walkthrough is a very accommodating option. It can be arranged around your work schedule, and works similarly to an in-home survey, where your move coordinator will walk through your home with you, and direct you to what they need to see. It’s done through a Facetime or Skype-type application, and can be done as long as you have Wi-Fi and a smart phone or tablet. 

The choice is up to you, whichever survey option is going to work best for your schedule, preference and move type.
