TRUST GOES A LONG WAY
Jose, Christian and Marshall did a great job packing! Thank you.
Our move experience was great. Otis, the team leader was very organized and everyone was very professional, communicative and conscientious. Our possessions were packed with appropriate care. Terry our coordinator checked with us on the progress each day. We chose Suddath based upon our past experience with them, and this move reinforced that decision. We will definitely use Suddath in any future move.
Movers were on time, very careful, polite and quick. They did a very good job.
Thank you so much for taking such great care of a lifetime of treasures! You packed them up in Arkansas & delivered them to Florida in perfect condition! Nothing was damaged or destroyed! My family & I appreciate your professionalism & thoughtfulness during my move! Thanks again!

Armando Acenedo and his crew did an amazing job moving my stuff! Attention to detail and quick!
Arnaldo, Dave and Shorty worked hard and to pack us. They are great ambassadors of your Company. Professional, friendly and courteous.
Prompt attentive and caring. Good teamwork between the guys and they worked really hard. A pleasure to work with them
Our family has moved 12 times over 24 years due to corporate moves. This move was definitely one of the BEST because of Paco And Kennedy! They were professional, courteous and EXTREMELY capable. It was a welcome reprieve after the move outset in Dallas which was conducted by Johnson Moving and Storage. Johnson Moving and Storage was a HORRIBLE experience. We will probably relocate again in 13 months and Suddath will be my first and only call. Thank you Suddath, Paco and Kennedy for making a challenging experience seem effortless!
INTERNATIONAL MOVING SERVICES
Flexible Packing and Unpacking
Our team’s flexible packing and unpacking services mean that Suddath can be with you through the process in whatever way suits your needs.
For customers who prefer to pack their own boxes, we can arrive ready to load and ship. If you are too busy with other obligations and need someone to do it all for you, Suddath can come in and professionally pack for you to whatever degree you need.
The first part of moving internationally is performing a thorough inventory prep. Each country has its own regulations, prohibited items lists, and restricted items lists, so it helps determine which items will require additional paperwork.
Suddath is certified through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's C-TPAT certification, meaning our international shipments always adhere to the Customs and Border Patrol regulations. We can assist and assess in your inventory prep to identify security gaps and implement security measures that protect your items.
Suddath's relocation coordinators are highly experienced in the document preparation process for overseas relocations. We move over 16,000 families overseas every year, and when you are ready to begin the process of completing the customs paperwork for your declared items, your international move coordinator will meet with you to help you with every line of documentation.
Ocean and Air Freight
Your Suddath international move coordinator will review your timeline and build a logistics plan just for you that meets your shipment’s needs. They will be sure to include all of the flexible services you request and keep your budget as a top priority.
Our team has experience safely moving any number of unique items. We have expert crate constructors who will take the dimensions and weight of your item and build a solid crate that will withstand road, ocean and air travel.
Suddath is happy to help you take the music with you overseas. If your piano is coming with you internationally, your Suddath international move coordinator will put together a comprehensive plan.
We can help you prepare your pet for international relocation. Every country has its own regulations concerning animals, and depending on your destination, your pet may need immunizations or a temporary quarantine.
If you have a vehicle that you would like to take with you for your move abroad, your international relocation coordinator can meet with our trusted partners to develop a logistics plan and coordinate the shipping for your vehicle.
INTERNATIONAL MOVING RESOURCES
The Villages International Movers FAQ
It is our goal to make sure that the belongings we move for you always make it to their destination without incident. Our drivers and operators spend time training at Suddath University in Jacksonville, Florida, where they are trained on packing techniques, loading/unloading safety instructions, and how to maneuver Florida’s roads safely.
In the rare case that one of your items is damaged, your Suddath overseas move coordinator will assist you with the process of documenting your broken items and submitting a claim. Once the form is completed, a claims representative will reach out to you within 24 hours.
There are several things you can do to perform due diligence and make sure you're making a wise choice. Pay special attention to the company's process for providing a moving quote. All moving companies must perform a home walkthrough prior to the day of your move. Only then can they give customers a moving quote. If the pricing is vague or if the company is unwilling to commit to a specific number, we recommend finding a different moving company in The Villages area.
Another important step in verifying the quality of an international moving company is to perform online research through reputable, third-party websites. Start with Google Reviews, and then be sure to check with organizations like the Better Business Bureau ("BBB"). They can verify that the companies you are considering are established and accredited. The BBB will allow you access to the files and show you the company's response to those claims.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, or FMCSA, is another valuable resource of information. This organization's job is to make sure that all commercial carrier vehicles that meet certain requirements have a Department of Transportation (DOT) number. Once you have the DOT number, look up your overseas moving company on the FMCSA website. You can also ask the moving company directly for their (DOT) number.
We also recommend that you ask your overseas mover for any accreditation's they have earned and what industry associations they belong to. Lastly, request their insurance information and be sure it's up to date. Any reputable international moving company is accustomed to supplying this information to its customers and will do so willingly.
First, it's important to understand that valuation coverage is not insurance. If you'd like to insure your goods, you will need to do so through an insurance company. The reason you must use a separate company is that by law, your overseas mover cannot sell you insurance.
What you get through your mover is valuation coverage. This is an agreement between you and your moving company over claims and their liability for those claims. It is required, according to federal law, that international moving companies offer valuation coverage to you. If they fail to do so, it may be a sign that they are a disreputable or "rogue" mover.
Valuation coverage guarantees that, if your goods are lost or damaged, and the international moving company is at fault, the mover agrees to pay the agreed-upon amount. For example, Suddath offers standard Released Value Protection (RVP) valuation coverage at $0.60 per pound of your shipment.
As part of the international moving process, you will want to explore if valuation coverage will work for you, or if you'd like to insure your goods through an insurance company. If you have more specific questions about insurance and valuation coverage, your local moving coordinator will be happy to help.
