Our entrepreneurial spirit has paved the way for our customers, employees and communities since 1919, when Carl Suddath first founded a moving company with only a cart and two mules.
Fast forward a few decades, and Carl’s vision of connecting people and possibilities found new ground in the age of the interstate. People everywhere were packing up their homes and looking for the American dream. More than roads and highways, we saw the potential to help them get there.
That same desire, to look for new ways of doing work that matters, inevitably leads to growth. By our 50th anniversary, we were active around the world. We began relocating military families, now one of our proudest legacies, and later grew to become the largest worldwide agent of United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit—forming successful partnerships based on teamwork and shared goals.
Today, technology offers the same possibilities that highways once did. We’re always finding new tools to help people and businesses stay informed as their goods move around the world, and new ways to be more efficient, accurate and environmentally aware in everything we do.
We’ve crossed a lot of miles together since that first cartload, and faced what seemed like some impossible challenges. Moving the largest military base in history, transporting rocket fuel across the skies and carefully moving Egyptian relics are just a few. What always gets us to the other side of opportunity is a sense of personal responsibility to our customers and to each other.
That’s our story. What’s yours?
