Our warehouse in Miami is brand new, state-of-the-art and built to keep your household goods safe and in good condition. It is climate-controlled, with a technologically advanced warehouse management system.
We can provide short or long-term storage depending on your needs. We also service our commercial clients in our warehouse, which means your goods will be housed with the same high standards as items like food or medicine.

One of the most effective ways we efficiently move people long-distance is through assigning each customer a dedicated move coordinator. Your Suddath move coordinator will be your direct contact for any details regarding your cross country move, providing you with updates and the peace-of-mind that comes with knowing someone is watching over your goods.
They will lookout for your budget, unique items requiring special attention, or specialty services you may need. They will handle the request and ensuring the crew is properly equipped on moving day.
Packing and Unpacking Services
Our packers and movers can take care of boxing up your entire home ahead of your local move, or they can come in and partially pack – dealing only with items or rooms you need assistance with.
DIY packing is always an option as well. Our crew will come in on moving day to wrap and protect furniture and place all of your items and boxes into the truck for transit, while you handle the rest of the packing for yourself.

MIAMI LONG-DISTANCE MOVING FAQ
Suddath provides the flexibility of choosing between an in-home survey or a virtual walkthrough. We recommend an in-home survey if you have more than two bedrooms and 5,000 lbs. of items that need to be relocated.
However, for relatively small shipments, our virtual walkthrough is an easy and convenient option that can be done from your mobile device. Upon completing your survey, we can provide you a binding estimate, which guarantees you will pay no more than 110% of what we estimated, or you can get a non-binding moving estimate, based on actual weight.
We would advise getting it. Without valuation coverage, your goods are insured for $0.60 per lb., per article. For example, if an item weighs 100 lbs., you would get $60 if the item was damaged and needs to be replaced. However, with valuation coverage, you can get full-value protection if that item is worth more than $0.60 per lb.
We take extra care of your belongings by protecting your home with floor protection and door jamb protection at both origin and destination.
We pad and un-pad your furniture in and outside of the home during the loading and delivery process. For interstate moves, we track your shipment via technology both on the physical truck and with the GPS on our drivers electronic logging device. If you have items in our warehouse, they are protected within our fenced and gated facility with 24-hour monitoring.
Suddath provides a detailed moving checklist to help you get ready before you move. Most importantly, secure your valuables, important papers and documents. Also select a separate area of your home to leave your suitcases and all your belongings that you’re going to take with you. That way, the packers and movers don’t pack anything you don’t want packed and moved onto the moving van.
Our second piece of advice would be – don’t plan too much on move day. We recommend using our full-packing service, as opposed to you attempting to pack and running short of time and not being prepared on load day.
As a cross country moving company traveling many miles on the highway, safety is always our top priority, and our compliance helps us to provide safe transportation in these large vehicles. We have a rigorous background-check policy, and our drivers have go through an in-depth background and qualification process, including a drug screening, to be compliant with the DOT. All of our drivers are interstate qualified. Any person who goes into a customer’s home has a service crew ID number, which means that they’ve undergone that background check and are fully compliant.
Although we do use contract van operators, they are virtually indistinguishable from our salaried employees – they work exclusively for Suddath, go through the same training and background checks, and most have worked with us for years.
