Training and Qualifications

Not only should you have the best people on the job, but people using the best methods and technologies—from the global supply chain management systems we use to track cargo to the way we pack valuable personal belongings for an international trip.

 

Customer Service Personnel

Our customer service teams blend approachability and good communication skills with deep knowledge of moving processes, regulations, rules and practices. Many of them are qualified relocation training professionals and hold Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) and Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) credentials. Our international move counselors have personal experience living abroad and are often fluent in multiple languages.

 

Corporate Client Advisors

Our chief strategists, executive leaders and project teams offer a mixture of qualifications including experience working as advisors to large, multinational organizations, holding formal CRP and GMS qualifications, and participating actively in organizations that establish standards and drive innovation in the industry like the Worldwide ERC® (The Workforce Mobility Association), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM®), Conference of Freight Counsel, American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA), International Association of Movers (IAM™) and International Office Moving Institute (IOMI®).

 

Warehouse Personnel

Our warehouse teams work with everything from sensitive medical equipment, materials and temperature- and climate-regulated items to priceless family heirlooms. Over many years, Suddath has developed an industry-leading set of quality practices and standards to keep the goods we store and transport safe and secure. Our warehouse teams receive regularly scheduled instruction and reviews from our dedicated corporate training division on the proper methods of handling household and commercial goods.

 

Field Personnel

Our van operators, helpers, packers and office movers enter our customers’ homes and places of work and are the first to handle their valuable personal and commercial goods. We don’t take this lightly, so we require them to complete 25 hours of classroom training and 256 field hours of mentored training. They attend intense workshops that focus on safety issues, industry changes and innovative move techniques. Our office and commercial moving teams are all International Office Moving Institute (IOMI®)-certified movers and our international organization is ISO 9001 certified.

 

Partners and service providers meet our highest standards

We also make sure our network of strategic partners and service providers meet the same high standards we uphold as an organization. Service partners are an extension of our team, carefully vetted for best-in-class service and safety within their business domains. All international providers are hand selected and evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Overseas Moving Network International (OMNI) membership
  • FIDI membership
  • FAIM quality accreditation
  • Sustained ability to maintain high-quality scores
  • Experience in the market
  • Financial stability
  • Ability to provide value-added relocation assistance services
