It was a challenging move since everything was wrapped from overseas transport and a large couch had to be lifted up to our 2nd floor deck because it couldn't fit in our front door. And they were so thoughtful in helping us set up everything. Highly recommended!

Suddath blew it. I had stayed home from work in order to meet the Suddath representative coming to give us an estimate. Despite the email from Suddath stating that he would arrive between 8:30 - 10:00 am, he never showed up. He never responded to emails. I called Suddath and the contact person on the email was not at her desk. I tried her several times. I tried the general number and was finally put through to her. She apologized for the mix up and said that the gentlemen who was supposed to give us a quote was double booked. She blamed it on a third party scheduler that Suddath uses (i.e. it was not their fault) and never explained why she and the person coming to give us the estimate did not know there was a double booking and contact us before we rearranged our lives to be home in the middle of a work day. If Suddath cannot even figure out how to book appointments, I am not going to trust them to successfully move my furniture and belongings.

The move from Oregon to Maryland went flawlessly start to finish. The estimate was not only fair all parts were explained thoroughly. The packing team was on time and carefully wrapped/packed all of my mother's things. The moving crew showed up early and took great care to not damage the house while taking the furniture and boxes to the truck. John the driver took especialy good care of the valuable items we declared and made sure they arrived safely. The delivery at 2 sites went flawlessly and John's ability to drive that truck in tight places was incredible. The whole experience was terrific and I would recommend your company without reservation.

My move with Suddath was outstanding from the coordination up front to the actual move. The movers were exceptional. They showed up for what was supposed to be a quick move from an Apartment in Alexandria, VA and storage facility to a house in Washington, DC. 11 hours later they completed the move. They were professional, friendly and stayed as long as it took to get all of the furniture in some challenging spaces. I highly recommend this group of top notch professionals. They took great care of my furniture and my house.

Great Packing/Loading service provided by Suddath. It did take a about 2 hours longer than the team leader originally estimated. Good to correctly estimate a length of time required for the packing/loading. Also, It was somewhat of a surprise to me when I couldn't pack any liquids. Would have been nice to know this well ahead of time rather than the day of the move. Very pleased with the process, though. 5 stars. All constructive feedback. Best of luck!

The delivery was very organized. The coordinator (Sílvia) professional and personable. And best of all it was quick (Alex kept an eye on the younger man working with him and seemed to be training him). There was some damaged items but I have a feeling they occurred during the transfers in between he warehouses and packing out in Madison. I was pleased that you hey took many cartons and boxes with them when they left. All in all not an unpleasant experience in any way. It might have been.

Very happy with service overall. It was an incredibly fast delivery, scheduled to arrive between 8-10 am they arrived at 820 am, which was excellent. Mr. Marrochi (hopefully I'm spelling that right) and his team were very fast and everything was in the house by noon. They also helped put together the futon and mount the TV on the wall.

My husband is a soldier and this company took care of our move. Exactly one month ago I arrived at our new house with fungus and wet so the inspectors took it. I'm one month behind Ashley, in charge of telling me what's going to happen to our things and she does not answer me once. I have neither my things nor an answer. definitely very good when everything goes well but to respond are not very efficient. What a sad Christmas they have given me. In addition to not having packed well things like the TV, the horn and others. horrible service.

My motorcycle was never shipped despite paying for it to be. I asked Mark Pryal (Sales Executive) on two occasions via phone how my motorcycle was being shipped and he replied "with your other items" (I was shipping my Jeep as well). When the movers arrived, they refused to ship the motorcycle due to the gas tank not being drained. Prep work required prior to shipping was never explained. I asked Kristin Swiercek (Coordinator) about this and she replied "I didn't even know so wouldn't have known to tell you" (she was very polite about it mind you). I asked both Mark and Kristin how this was going to be resolved and they replied they would look into it. Once they were paid (which is required for delivery of other items) I never heard back (in fact, Kristin said Mark said I told him I would handle it...). Second issue, mattress arrived damaged. I have before shipment pictures clearly showing it was not damage (there were tears and wood splitters along one side showing it had been dragged across a rough wood surface). I filed a claim (I have the claim number), but again no reply or response after a month. Filing a report to BBB and local news with names and dates.

Excellent job by Stephen setting everything up, and Pete and his team were excellent performing the move. It wasn’t cheap but you get what you pay for. Except for an old ceramic lamp that broke, over 40 years of household items were moved and everything arrived in the exact same condition as it left. If needed, I will use this company again.

The team on Tuesday for my moving delivery was great. They called ahead to notify of their expected arrival time, arrived promptly. They took time to set up and ensure my floors and walls were not damaged and worked very quickly, efficiently and professionally. They were friendly and polite and it was a pleasant day of moving.

The only issue is not on the team, but that all my furniture items arrived with stickers affixed to the facing side of each item that cannot be removed. I have reached out to inquire as to the method to remove the stickers without damaging, scraping or leaving other marks on every piece of my furniture. This method of placing stickers should be corrected as they should be placed on the underside and non-visible parts of items.

Our entire shipping process has been a nightmare. We were told our items would be here by 11/16 at the absolute latest, and now we aren’t receiving our second truck (we were told our load was not going to be split) isn’t arriving until a week from today 11/22. When we began this process mid October, Michael Nguyen gave us a shipping quote, including crating three of our items. He let us know the packers would not take any liquids, and we were responsible for moving them. He also said that we would be given a scheduled date our items would arrive. We had a conversation about how other companies i’d contacted had only given me a range of dates the items would arrive, and he assured us that was not how United/Suddath opperates, and assured us that our moving coordinator, Kristen, would give us a scheduled date our items would arrive. We decided to go with your company based on this conversation I had with Michael. We were moving from DC to Dallas, starting new jobs, purchasing a home, and the fact that United/Suddath was going to give us a specific delivery date meant everything to us during this hectic, stressful time of transition. Kristen called to schedule our packing and we asked her some questions about the moving process. We were told our items would not be warehoused or split, and would arrive within the range of 11/7 to 11/16. This range was a complete shock. Michael had told us the complete opposite, and when we told her this she said she didn’t have any idea why he would say that. We were extremely frustrated but Kristen assured us that’s how all moving companies operate, and once again assured us our items would arrive no later than 11/16. We asked her more questions about what the movers would/wouldn’t take- spices, liquids, etc and she let us know that the packers would take ALL liquids, as long as they weren’t flammable (she even wrote this to me in an email). This is the opposite of what Michael said previously. We let her know this, and she once again said she didn’t know why Michael would have told me they wouldn’t take them. This wouldnt be an issue, except that after the packers left (and the night before we are packing our car to drive from DC to Dallas) we opened up two of our kitchen cabinets to reveal ALL of our kitchen liquids and ALL of our cleaning supplies. The packers had hadn’t taken a single one. We scrambled around to find boxes and bags, and make room in our already packed car to fit these items, when we thought it would all be taken care of. Isn’t this what we paid for?
Towards the end of the packing day, the packers asked me who was coming to crate our two marbles table tops and television. We made multiple calls to Michael and Kristen and Kristen determined that no one had been contacted to crate these items. She was able to find someone to do it last minute and they came at the last hour while the packers were finishing. How was the crating not communicated through the paperwork?
Our items left our apartment 11/4 and we were told once again they would be to Dallas no later than 11/16. We got a call the beginning of this week letting us know our first truck would be coming yesterday, 11/14. We were told our items had been split into two loads (which is exactly what we were told would not happen originally). Kristen didn’t know when our second truck would be arriving and assured us that it was only “non essential” items on the second truck “like our dining table and chairs” but unfortunately, our second truck would not be arriving in the promised timeframe. When we spoke to Kristen the next day, she still didn’t know when our second truck would be arriving, but knew it would definitely be outside the promised timeframe, and she also let us know United/Suddath has made a mistake, and it was our clothes and other items that were on the second truck, not “non essential” items after all. We spoke to the regional director and he was also unable to give us a ETA of our second truck. Today we spoke to him again, and he let us know that the truck (full of items we need) won’t be here until 11/22. This is well outside of our promised timeframe (11/16) and we are currently without clothes, dishes, couch cushions, etc. These are absolutely essential items and to say this is an inconvenience is a massive understatement. We now will have to miss another day of work next week. We have been told we will be refunded for the clothes boxes, but what about all of the other essential items on the truck we need? What about the second day of work we’ll miss to accept a second delivery? Keep in mind this is my first week of work here so this day off is unpaid. Will we be reimbursed for that?
We’re extremtly frustrated and have no control over this entire situation. We trusted your company with our items, and United/Suddath has under delivered.
