JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Feb. 06, 2019) – Suddath® Global Logistics is proud to announce the renewal of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) accreditation for 2019. Initially certified back in 2014, our continual improvement from our already great scores in past years is impressive. In 2017 we had six recommendations and an “A”. Now at the end of the 2018 we only had three recommendations and an “AA” grading. This year’s “AA” score is based on the most stringent audit in the food industry. Key Global Logistics facilities with the Suddath network are identified by these standards as part of service extended to its customers.
GFSI is an internationally recognized set of standards that requires food safety management system controls to ensure the safety of the global food supply chain.
Director of the Global Logistics division risk management team, Trish St. John commented, “Thanks so much for the hard work of the Suddath Global Logistics Quality and the warehouse teams as we actually had the best GFSI audit to date and we are pleased with the year over year improvement.” In 2019 we will review the possibility of expanding the GFSI audit to some of our other select facilities.
