A Sports Merchandise Company seeks an urban loft vibe for new Madison Avenue, NY office
As a result of their rapid growth, a division of the market leader for authentic, officially licensed sports merchandise was looking to expand to a new high-profile location on Madison Avenue, in New York City. The client wanted the overall design of the office to have an urban loft feel to attract and retain the best employees in the area. The project had an accelerated timeframe and included working weekly with various trades to make this project happen on time and on budget. Due to the extremely high visibility of this project, the client needed a strategic furniture partner that could pull this project off without any hiccups.
Project Goal: Plan, design and furnish a space that would accommodate rapid growth and attract and retain the best talent in their industry.
Suddath® was involved from the beginning of the project, providing comprehensive space plans, furniture layouts and product selections to complement the architecture while maximizing the footprint of the 8,000 square-foot high-rise in Manhattan. We worked hand in hand with the client and the A&D firm to provide a furniture solution that enhanced the office design. Our solution included a brand new system from Kimball®, Narrate, for the individual workstations. The face of the panels were created out of highly textured wood, to create a loft aesthetic. Frosted glass was used on the inside of the workstations along with height-adjustable worksurfaces, allowing the employees to electronically adjust their desks to any sit-to-stand position.
The senior executive’s office and conference room was custom designed furniture, specifically to meet his needs for functionality and technology. This included a height-adjustable conference table with technology drawers and a credenza designed to house AV equipment, and a unique refrigerator drawer. Suddath provided a seamless furniture solution, on time and on budget.
