Leading International Fast Food Restaurant
Frankfurt, Germany – Long Beach, CA
A global fast food restaurant chain required a shipment of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) to travel from Frankfurt, Germany to Long Beach, California. The company not only needed a national supplier of warehousing and transportation, but also a partner to manage a complex transatlantic prototype décor project. It would have been burdensome for the client to coordinate with German manufacturers and to manage customs clearance paperwork requirements. They needed a logistics expert that could streamline all shipment needs effectively, and provide a high-level of service even with a tight timeline. Equipment had to be delivered to the Long Beach, California facility by Friday, which only allowed for five days of transportation time.
Project Goal: Provide door-to-door international air freight for a worldwide fast food restaurant’s prototype décor project.
Even with a tight time schedule and crates exceeding the height requirements of a passenger aircraft, Suddath® overcame every obstacle. Suddath worked with our German counterpart to ensure the crates were promptly re-configured to avoid having to wait to ship via cargo aircraft. Suddath coordinated with the importer to confirm that all necessary documentation for customs clearance were in order prior to shipment departure. An exclusive delivery to the client’s facility was requested to ensure cargo would be transported without delay. Nine crates holding 4,440 pounds of FF&E arrived to Long Beach and were delivered successfully a day earlier than scheduled.
