Harold Barboza SVP of global logistics at suddath

Jacksonville, Fla., April 17, 2017—Harold Barboza joins our organization with over 30 years’ experience in 3PL, global operations, international freight forwarding and logistics. His work in executive management roles with such companies such as UPS, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, and Kuehne & Nagel of Switzerland included the management of a $100 million warehousing, domestic, brokerage, and international transportation divisions. This also provided Harold with multiple opportunities to champion growth initiatives that helped expand both the scope of operations and operational efficiency of these operations. Harold now brings that sense of initiative and vision to Suddath®.

Harold’s skill in managing multi-client 3PL and freight forwarding facilities is sure to energize growth across our Contract Logistics operations – but he also brings an international vision that can aid Suddath in growing its horizons even further around the world. For example, while working for a previous employer, Harold was directly responsible for the implementation and management Foreign Trade Zone operations in multiple facilities. He also led the implementation of Lean 5S and 6S auditing efforts to help improve efficiencies in existing operations.

Harold specializes in developing high performance teams, building roadmaps and work plans to employ performance tracking metrics – Harold’s goal is to make sure his team understands the goals of their job and has a clear sense of priorities so that they can consistently hit their targets and produce results that are as close to perfect as practically possible.

In his new role, Harold will work very closely with warehouse management to establish performance objectives that are consistent with regional and corporate goals.

In his spare time, Harold enjoys volunteer work, community involvement as well as spending time with family and friends.
